Homemade Granola Bars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 3 cups oats
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup walnut, chopped
  • 1/4 cup coconut, flake
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup carob chips
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3 to 6 tablespoon of honey
  • 3 to 6 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 to 4 beaten eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 325°F (165°C).
  2. Use a cookie sheet lined with lightly greased aluminum foil.
  3. In a large bowl, mix all the dried ingredients.
  4. Incorporate into the mixture the beaten eggs. Mix the ingredients with a wooden spoon.
  5. Heat in the microwave the honey and the olive oil for 30 seconds. Pour into the nuts mixture.
  6. Mix well until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
  7. Pour the nuts mixture onto the baking sheet.
  8. Cook in oven between 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  10. Remove the aluminum foil and cut in desired portions.
