Homemade Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped peanuts
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup chopped dates
- 3 cups oats
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup flax seeds
- 1/2 cup walnut, chopped
- 1/4 cup coconut, flake
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup carob chips
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
- 3 to 6 tablespoon of honey
- 3 to 6 tablespoon of olive oil
- 2 to 4 beaten eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven at 325°F (165°C).
- Use a cookie sheet lined with lightly greased aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, mix all the dried ingredients.
- Incorporate into the mixture the beaten eggs. Mix the ingredients with a wooden spoon.
- Heat in the microwave the honey and the olive oil for 30 seconds. Pour into the nuts mixture.
- Mix well until it becomes a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour the nuts mixture onto the baking sheet.
- Cook in oven between 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Remove the aluminum foil and cut in desired portions.
